Dale Pavek

— Owner —
Sales and Design Consultant

Dale has been working with his Dad as long as he can remember. Construction has always been Dale’s passion—starting from his early years cleaning job sites to today helping homeowners navigate the construction process.

Throughout high school and college, he gained valuable hands-on experiences in the industry working in the field with framing and siding crews. Dale has a degree in Architectural Design and Estimating from Dunwoody Institute and has been with the family business since 1977. Dale and his wife, Natalie, live in Savage and have three children Lydia, Mathew, and Ryan.

Dale believes that the transformation of a home project concept on paper to a stunningly completed project and the happiness it brings to a family is what makes his occupation so great. Getting to know so many interesting people and building relationships with the customers along the way is a bonus.

Jeremy Hussey

— Owner —
President

Jeremy Hussey, with over 20 years in the remodeling industry, realizes that when you are working in someone’s home, the customer experience is the number one focus. Each customer should be treated like the one and only client. Graduating from Mankato State University with a BS in Construction Management and a minor in Interior Design gave Jeremy his background to help customers with their vision within their budget. He has worked on multiple award winning projects and is proud of the relationships he has created and maintained with customers over the years. He has also been active in the National Association of the Remodeling Industry serving as the Chair of the Member Retention Committee.

Jeremy spends his time outside of work golfing, playing tennis and basketball, fishing, kayaking and watching HGTV. Jeremy feels his best asset is his sense of urgency. He believes remodeling has a stigma for things dragging on and he focuses strongly on getting customers through the initial process and project in a timely matter. Jeremy considers it just part of paying attention to the intricate details. Details and quality which adds up to a finished product that the customer can enjoy much sooner. When customers recommend College City Design-Build to friends and family members, he considers that to be the highest compliment.

Kali O’Malley

Lead Designer

As a hairstylist for most of my life, I always had a passion for creativity, with a love for design and architecture. I decided after 13 years that it was time to pursue my journey and long time dream of becoming a designer.

With a strong desire to help others, to be someone people can lean on and trust, I believe the relationship is one of the most important aspects of my role. The building and remodeling process can be overwhelming at times and it’s important that homeowners have support and guidance during a season that is often unfamiliar.

Working in a field where you get to watch complete transformations change the way people live, it’s the most rewarding career I could imagine. Space planning, hard finish selections and organization are a few favorite niches as well as creating eclectic designs with fine finishes and out of the box thinking.

When I’m not working some of my passions are my children and family, soaking up the summer, seeing live music and seeking out fun new restaurants.

Rebecca Ryan

Lead Designer

Rebecca believes that all good design must incorporate Function + Beauty. She recognizes and honors the uniqueness of every client and every home. She creates amazing interiors that optimize space, maximize budget and reflect the best of her clients. Her background in construction, analytical mindset and penchant for problem solving allow her to see and create unique design solutions.  She guides clients through the latest products and trends to create designs that are fresh and current yet will stand the test of time.

Born to a long line of artists, she originally shirked the family tradition and earned a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University. But her artistic DNA could not be held at bay. While spearheading her own major remodel project 20 years ago, she heard the call to the design world. Construction and remodeling provided the perfect platform to combine her analytical mind with her natural aesthetic gifts. She went on to round out her knowledge with a Kitchen and Bath Design certificate from Century College.

Rebecca enjoys variety in all aspects of her life – people, travel, experiences.  She has lived in some of the greatest cities across the US – Baltimore/Washington DC, Denver, San Francisco, Chicago, and of course the Twin Cities. She loves spending time with her two boys, cross training, laughing out loud, live music, cooking and gardening.
Rebecca was just named best interior designer in Edina Magazine’s “Best of 2013” edition.

Chris Menning

Sales & Design Consultant

Chris began his career in the building industry even before graduating from college. Working with builders and remodelers at a local retail lumber yard reinforced Chris’s desire to work in the building industry. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, with a BS in Forest Products Marketing, he worked in various wholesale lumber positions, ultimately landing a job selling building materials to College City Design Build. After working on many interesting projects in conjunction with CCDB, Chris decided working with them would be a better fit.
Chris’s understanding of building materials and his ability to conceptualize projects and potential challenges are his greatest strengths. Creating realistic budget goals, and meeting them is another. Chris’s greatest satisfaction comes at the end of a project when CCDB clients always say, ‘ We wouldn’t change a thing.’ This can be attributed to CCDB’s creative design team and thorough production management process.
Chris’s favorite activity is spending time at the cabin with his family. Fishing, hunting, coaching soccer and chasing kids around town are what fill his free time. Chris and his wife Jodi, both Lakeville natives, still reside in Lakeville and have two children, Jaiden and Landon. Mya, the black lab, rounds out the family.
